Entertainment self gratification

Ricky Gervais says the American version of the Office is 'as good' as the original. Errr I still have my doubts.

The Tim Burton version of Charlie and the chocolate factory looks every bit as disturbing as the original. Can't wait.

I sooo got sucked in by the latest Star Wars trailer, it looks suitably dark, and with no sign of Jar Jar, but we'll see.

I took D to see Robots, and it was pretty good. It has a nice style, and a cool look to it. I still wonder why we have to have a name play nearly every speaking role. Halle Berry is wasting a good portion of her talent playing an animated robot.

SXSW is fun, but too stressful for someone as OCD as myself. You cannot see all the bands you'd like to, and they often are playing at the same time. Even if you are able to get a plan together, you just can't show up five minutes before a show is supposed to start. Every venue is too crowded, and shows run late, or start early etc. It used to drive me crazy. So nowadays I make no effort to go down there.

Sure it was fun to heckle the Flock of Seagulls performance and see Dumptruck in the same night..but those days are behind my old ass.

Why is the American version of Fever Pitch even called fever pitch, from the look of the trailer it's different enough to be called something else....like 'Shite on a stick'
